Time spent at the farm
Was like deep dreaming.
The horses, silent, yet speaking
The true stories
Only horses know.
As I invaded their spaces,
They would eye me.
Then they would circle me.
Searching me out ...
It took a while
Then, knowingly, sensing my devotion —
(and my determination)
They let me in.
